Hi,

Having trouble since patch 1.04 on Witcher 3 with my MSI R9 295x2 it just seems to stop outputting completely no matter the Screen after any number of mins in the game. I have played GTA V and Dragon Age to rule out card or any hardware. Not sure if its Driver related; I'm running 15.5 but it was doing it on 15.4 too.

It had been running fine, but seemed to start doing this when they patched the game; but not sure. Has anyone else come across this? I have tried uiinstalling game, re-installed drivers etc..

I've been running Witcher at 3840x2160 over Display Port 1.2 @ 60hz. Tried replacing cable although was certain this isn't the case as this has been working fine and other games run fine at same Res. I have tried a Straight Through Mini DP to Display port as well as HDMI-HDMI.

Literally screen goes black, then tells me the Display Port has no Connection, and Event Viewer doesn't log anything. I have to reset the PC by turning PC completely off and then on again and I get a Display back.

Its a Benq 3201PLT.
Thanks

Ryan

You are not running the true 15.5. The true 15.5 will have major Witcher 3 tweaks including crossfire. Remove it and just stick to Omega until 15.5 is officially released.

Deactivate crossfire, your problems will be solved.

I am having a similar system and The Witcher 3 run impressively on a single 290x. I am having constant 25-30 FPS without stupid Nvidia hair and AA. Seriously, if you run at 2160p, you don't need AA. You will see no difference.

As for Displayport, Displayport is a really capricious medium. My TV sometime cannot get back the feed unless I feed another one to my 58AX800. Sometime I need to hard reboot, but most of the time I can press the Windows key + right arrow and Enter to restart the computer without the...

I am not sure if it is a Displayport, a catalyst or a display problem. You are not alone, I am running pretty much the same system as you and the same way.

Solution
Have disabled Crossfire on 14.12 which i was running last night and it gave me the No Signal from my Monitor; so this morning I made a Witcher 3 Profile and manually disabled Frame Pacing and Crossfire on there and it seems to be stable..

Seems like a Driver/Crossfire issue then potentially with Witcher. Will confirm as an answer when I can do a full 1 hour test without it doing the issue I'm having. Will do this tonight.

Cheers

Ryan
