Without a graphics card (help)

so next week ill have all the components for my new pc expept the graphics card which i will only have the week after, can i still build it and turn it on to install the drivers or doesnt work without the graphics card? i have a z270 mortar gaming with a i5 7600k
 
Solution
As stated, I5 has built in GPU, albeit not as good as the one you are waiting on. It will do the job to get everything else configured though.

You might need to go into the BIOS just before installing your discreet GPU to tell the Motherboard to default to the PCIe buss for GPU usage too, as sometimes the PC doesn't think about the new GPU and will try to use the iGPU instead... but that would even be a potential issue (and easily fixed if so) even if you had the GFX card installed before you ever first powered up your build.
As long as your monitor can connect to the motherboard for display then it would be fine to build/use. As far as the drivers I would only get the newest Intel HD drivers for your CPU until you GPU arrives.

Then once your card comes in then connect your monitor to the GPU and download the newest drivers from the manufacturers website (AMD or Nvidia).
