without actually opening the computer case, unscrewing the hardware, is it possible to know the actual hardware details, e.g brand, specification, without being cheated in the software level?

i.e. intel is intel. i3 is i3. Never an i3 CPU seen as i7 in the BIOS or windows

Many programs like Speccy, Aida, Everest. HwInfo, CPU-Z etc would list all components but you can also look at Device Manager and Hardware_id for every component, just copy it in Google and search, each one is for specific manufacturer and product.

Another tool,

download hwinfo32,
install and open it => run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
at the left top click "save report",
at the bottom of the next window check "short text report",
after that you'll see what's in the pc
