Wondering if i should upgrade from 780ti sli to 980ti for 1440p and eventually sli

I have an i7-3770k @4.3 and 2 780ti in sli (evga SC) I have 2 monitors but I only game on the rog swift. Cant seem to find any benchmarks comparing the 980 ti single configuration vs. the 780ti in 2 way sli and I am wondering what the performance difference is like. I play non demanding games and very demanding games. Love me some Arma 3.

So yea, whats your opinions guys, is now the time for an upgrade or should I wait.

Also wondering if i should upgrade to 4th gen i7 and the 980ti before i sli the 980ti.

And if I am going to overclock the card on my own is there any reason to get a superclocked version?

780 Ti SLI will be faster than a single 980 Ti.

Dont bother upgrading your i7 yet, there really is no need.

No need at all unless you have a income of 1,000,000 a year and have extra cash to dump.

I'm in the same boat as you, but a single 980ti performs about 30-35% faster than a single 780ti but sli is better than a single 980ti. 970 sli performs better than 980ti. For your processor I recommend waiting for the next series of cpus, im still using a 3930k and will probably upgrade to the next series.

Might as well wait for the DX12 games and see, probably be new cards out by then.
