This is my computer. Should it go in the garbage or replace pieces 1 by 1? i have about 1600-1700 dollars right now

If you have that much of a budget, You should get new and give it to a friend who has nothing.

With $1500+, build a new one.
There is 1, maybe 2 parts you can keep from the old one.
The DVD drive, and the HDD, but only as a secondary drive.

With a PC that old, you can't replace things one by one.
