I have the key ready, but when I try to install windows 64bit it really doesn't like it. My PC Specs are as follows : CPU : AMD FX 8350 CPU COOLER : Msi Dragon Liquid cooler 120mm GPU: NVIDIA GTX 660 2gb Ram : Hyper X Fury 1888hz 8gb Motherboard : ASUS M5 A97 LE R2.0 Question. Is there a reason I cant install the 64bit version? and can I fix it somehow

The Key for the 'upgrade' can also be used as a clean install key. I have tried a clean install already.

Okay, I has worked on 32bit. I'm just wondering why I can't download the 64bit OS. It's nothing to do with the key

I can load it up and sign in, but after that if I do anything it crashes and the whole computer shuts down

I have tried a clean wipe on my HDD and attempeted to install the x64 bit version of windows, but it either just crashes, shuts down, or allows me to log on and then just crashes.

I wiped it using ccleaner and double checked on the install menu. Then installed it on the wiped drive using a USB drive that I selected in the bios, that didn't work so I also tried it on a disc. I know the install works because it worked on my brother's PC when he installed it.

I go into the bios and select the USB/Disc that the windows 8.1 installation is installed on

Okay, I'll try that soon and get back to you
