Won't Save my default setting

The problem I had is after when I uninstall winamp player.

I wanted change back my windows media player as default media player (to play my mp3 files). The problem is that it wont save my setting. For some reason the mp3 file is still winamp.file.mp3.


And yes I tried set program associations, it just wont save my setting.

Is there a fix?

Go ahead and run CCleaner
It should be able to remove the lingering traces of WinAmp in the registry.

I don't have problem uninstalling so this isn't it.

Re-install WinAmp and try uninstalling with REVO Uninstaller.
