Can anyone recommend a workstation graphics card? I'm looking at 3d Labs, ATi and Nvidia's latest models $500-1000 range. I'm running Pro/e and other 3D/2D graphics programs with dual monitors. Can anyone speak form experience here? My eperience with ATi Radeon driver has not been good, but I've never used their Fire GL cards. THG's latest reviews do not list 3D labs cards. HELP! Words of wisdom are much appreciated.

Quadro FX's are nice from review I have seen, tho I have not used em (used previous quadros and have been satisfied!).

I haven't ponied up the coin for a new card for my video Rig, cause really the R9000 is doing fine for me right now.
However if you want to see the diff. in a bunch of applications there's this relatively old review that pit lot of card against each other under a wide variety of situations.

Shows the quadros winning in the benches. I mean there are a few where the atis win but that was the DX9 3d s max thing- once u switch to ogl or optimized nv driver, things looks wayy different. Actually, the ati performs pretty bad in a few of em, didn't expect that.

Yeah, the funny thing is how the performance is all over the map. Even the Wildcat PXXX do well in some benchies.
The Quadros are generally better (everything but the craptacular Quadro 500). But remember that the ATIs also got an OGL update about a month or so after this review came out that booosted OGL performance (but not enough to change the pecking order).
