While playing World of Warcraft sometimes i get fps drops i just built my new computer i will list the specs down below i don't understand why this happens only with this game any other game i have ever played with my new computer build it runs completely fine with great fps and cool temps.

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Intel DZ77GA70K ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Asus Radeon HD 7870 2GB Video Card
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
windows 7 ultimate

is it because I'm running single channel ram ? maybe World of Warcraft uses a lot of it ? i have no clue can someone give me a helping hand :D it would be greatly appreciated

You guys have to remember that WoW came out in Nov 2004, it uses the same graphics engine today that it did back then, they've just added new features. The OP has to be in some environment that is lowering his FPS. I used to run it on an Athlon XP-M with 1gb RAM & a 256mb Video Card. Not with all the goodies selected but still smooth.

I mean all games fluctuate a little bit..

In WoW there are certain situations where it just spikes.. Since MoP just came out, i get a small spike every time entering/exiting a vehicle.. when there are a lot of people nearby, it spikes.
