[SOLVED] worried that cooler won't fit into case...

hey all, i'm finally building my first pc after using a laptop for a hot minute.

didn't wanna use the stock cooler so i purchased a coolermaster hyper 212 evo, in a nzxt h510 flow mid atx case. the case has dimensions of

• 428 mm x 210 mm x 460 mm (copied directly from product page

and the cooler has a height of 159mm.

It seems awfully close, do I have anything to worry about?

It fits. Your case supports coolers up to 165mm and the 212 EVO is 159mm.


Max CPU Cooler Clearance:165 mm

Max GPU Clearance:360 mm

Front Fan & Radiator Clearance:60 mm

Cable Management:19 - 23 mm

sweet, thank you. was mostly worried if that included the spot for cables, other misc components will take up room etc.

It will fit, with ~6mm of clearance.

PC case supports up to 165mm tall CPU coolers,

And as you've already found out, your cooler is 159mm tall.

In person, 6mm isn't much at all, since 10mm = 1cm.

Nope. Just the maximum height of either the heatsink itself OR in some cases, the top of the fan, IF (As it does on some coolers) it sits higher than the top of the heat pipes on the heatsink.
