Worrying about router temperature

I turn on my router from 9am to 6pm everyday like that. I touch my router device and adapter and they feel hot after using it for a period of time. Should I turn off my router for a while to let it cool? I'm using TP-W8980.

Don't worry, they're designed to work 24/7.
What feels hot for you may not be hot for something made of silicon.

Warm is normal. Hot enough that u can't even hold it for a few seconds without being burn is bad.

Does it have enough airflow around it? Google for folks' experience with exact modem should shed light on the matter.
