UserBenchmarks: Game 22%, Desk 33%, Work 24%
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 810 - 36.2%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 - 22.7%
SSD: SSD 120GB - 51.6%
RAM: Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333 C9 4x4GB - 29.6%
MBD: Hp-pavilion NY549AA-ABA p6230y

MSINFO32

Ram benchmark comes back as 1% percentile, so the absolute worst possible...When i check performance monitor from time to time, 15.5 available, never seen more than 5.1 in use with 9 cached.
She still works, still plays games, low settings of course, but 50+fps in 1080p.

not sure what the issue might be, please advise!

Hp-pavilion NY549AA-ABA p6230y
H-RS880-uATX:1.01 rev b- board does not allow bios overclocks or timing changes. HP-no bios updates
AMD Phenom II X4 810
Corsair-XMS3-CMX8GX3M2A1333C9-4x4GB]Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333 C9 4x4GB- running at 1033(i believe the board only allows 1033 with 4 sticks running.
Nvidia-GTX-660 2gb
Cooler Master RS-500-PCAR-D3 POWER SUPPLY

i believe the board only allows 1033 with 4 sticks running.
This actually is your answer.

"When you have 3 sticks of ram or more installed the memory will only run @1066 speeds"

The only way to let your memory run at 1333 would be to remove 2 of the 4 sticks you have.

Click the "+" next to "Memory Upgrade Information"
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01859871

Userbenchmarks is detecting that you have memory capable of running at 1333 so it's giving you percentage scores against other memory that is actually running at 1333.

To sum things up, I believe your system is performing exactly as expected.

Thanks,

So which is better for this old gal?
8gb at 1333 or 16 at 1066?

is it worth trying to find a different mobo if i can pick one up for less than $30? one that might have higher ram speeds available and uefi for clocking and timing?

Just my opinion but I highly doubt your system is using more than 8 gigabytes. If it was a high-end machine I could see you using more than 8.

I honestly don't think 16 gigs is a benefit for that system. I would take two of them out and run 8 at 1333. If it doesn't work you could always put it back in but I don't think you'll need it
