Worth getting GTX 970?

Hey!
Is it worth getting gtx 970 or should I get gtx 960 with money left over. I'm going to play games like bf4 on ultra at 60fps and both cards can do this. So is it worth spending more on a gtx 970 when a gtx 960 can do the job? Thanks!

Depends at what resolution, if you are fine a few dips of 50fps at ultra 1080P then gtx 960, but if you want a constant 60fps then gtx 970.

This is why I hope NVidia makes a 960 TI which will give you ultra 1080P without breaking the bank.

If that's the game you play and you know the 960 can do it on ultra then get the 960. No point getting the 970 just because it's more powerful. Remember this is toms, people will usually point you towards the more expensive/higher performing thing just because.

Want to play lol or dota? Well obviously you need sli 970s. I'm kidding only slightly. You will get people telling you to get more than you need cause you MIGHT want to possibly do something else one day maybe.

I do not know how you are looking at it but 960 is a disappointment and competes with R9 280 which can be had cheaper. You may be thinking BF4 now but remember there will be BF5 in the future.

Ive been looking at bf4 hardline and gta as well. I know I will run bfh on ultra but not sure about new gta?

Had nothing but issues with mine after installing it. Can run fine for 12 hours no problem. Then BSOD within 5 minutes the next day. Had no problems since day one with my Radeon HD7770 it replaced. God alone knows whats wrong with it.
