worth installing new amd drivers older card??

I have a hd 6850 is it even worth it to upgrade to current version of amd drivers if there is nothing broken?? I am curious if it will improve my performance if they do not have anything listed for my series in the notes.

You should use the best drivers for the hardware/game combo you are playing.

In almost all cases, this is the newest driver.

Even if they did not add anything "new" for your specific card, they almost sure as hell did not remove anything either.

It is highly recommended you keep drivers for all components up to date, regardless of age. If they stop updating the drivers, you have nothing to update to.

Since they still bring out drivers for your card...it is likely that it would be a good idea to apply them...no?
