[SOLVED] Worth the upgrade from i5 3570K @ 4.4ghz?

I have an i5 3570k at 4.4ghz, is it worth the upgrade to ryzen 3600x or 3700x? I only play games and surf the internet. I might try to stream at some point but not into it yet.

Should I just stay with my i5 or do the upgrade? Will I see a difference in performance?

What GPU are you using?

Both of those CPUs are WAY faster than what you have....but they aren't going to do you much good for gaming if you have a slow GPU.

Yes, it would very much be worth the upgrade, as newer titles are taking advantage of the extra cores/threads. The 3600 is a great option, for gaming. Streaming, I would probably go 3700x.

I have a gtx 980 ti overclocked @1500mhz boost and 1440p 60hz monitor. I plan to upgrade to what ever high end gpu amd releases next. 5800xt? and a 144hz 1440p monitor.

I just pulled the trigger and bought everything needed but the CPU. Now it's down to which is best for my use? Wait for 3700x to be restocked or just buy 3600x?

If you think you will stream, go with the 3700x.
