Hi guys.
I´m itching for a ryzen cpu, but I can't objectibely determine if I really need the upgrade.

I´m currently rocking this build:

And my target would be a mid range R5 (when they hit the market) and a B350 mobo (ASUS B350 plus or Gigabyte B350 Gaming 3).
I would like to play games like fallout 4 at 100ish FPS (now i'm rangning from 55 to 45 fps, depending on the enviroment)

Thank you!

Not really for R7 unless you are doing something that actually uses all the cores. Will have to wait and see if R5 acts differently or not with fewer cores. But realistically any improvement will be just as minor as upgrading to Kaby Lake.
From what I've seen, Ryzen's big claim to fame is its multi-core/multi-thread performance for the dollar. So if you are running software/games that do not leverage as many cores and threads as possible, then Ryzen isn't going to do much for you. Since Fallout 4 performance is what you want to increase, then take a look at how F4 leverages the CPU. Is a quad core not enough for that game?
