Hi,
My specs;
Here are my specs;
Windows 10 - 64 bit home use.
RTX3080 Gigabyte Turbo 10Gb - NOW it's a Gigabyte RTX4080 Eagle 16GB as of 3 days ago
MSI A pro Z490 Mobo
32GB DDR4 3200 RAM
i5 10600 non K.
1000W Silverstone modular PSU
2 x m.2 NVME drives, 1 Samsung SSD and a WD traditional hard drive
Fractal Meshify 2 mid tower case.
8 x chassis fans.
My new GPU is a beast and I am so happy with the purchase aside from the price, my card is night and day on the RTX3080 for thermals, and noise. My GPU doesn't exceed 55 degrees C at full load playing Cyber Punk 2077 with max Ray Tracing settings, and the noise is now inaudible. I have checked at least twice over the last few days if the PC was turned on it's so quiet.
My Gigabyte RTX3080 turbo was a jet engine and I had a Noctua 80mm zip tied to the intake of the card also running at 100% to keep temps in check.
I digress, wondering whether I'd get more FPS and better performance from my RTX4080 going from an i5 10600, to an i9 10900K...seen they're on sale now at some retailers in Australia for $585.00 AUD brand new.
My i5 10600 maxes out at 99% usage on most games at 4K with the RTX4080, and the GPU normally hits 87-90% usage.....I don't know whether it's worth the money to squeeze an additional 10% out of the GPU.
By the way the RTX 4080 is HUGE, fits nicely in my Fractal Meshify 2, and no issues (as of yet) with the 3 pin to 16 pin connector.
Thoughts?
