Guys, I built this rig at 2014 and still runs smooth as the first day I powered it on:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.6Ghz
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster V4 GTS
MoBo: MSI Z97 Gaming 7
RAM: 16GB (4x4) G.Skill Sniper 2133Mhz
VGA: MSI GTX 1070Ti
Storage: 480GB SSD SanDisk / 2000GB HDD Seagate
PSU: Corsair GS800
Monitor: AOC 21" IPS 60Hz

But I realize that this is 4 years old build and it would be cool make an upgrade but, I wonder if it's really necessary to do so.

I use this build just for gaming, audio recordings and rarely for video editing, but the main activity is web browsing and gaming.

I'm the one that is already satisfied if the games runs above 60 fps and I don't play with competitive goals.

I'm planning to buy a new 144hz monitor (1080p or 1440p) to use all the GPU benefits, but I'm unsure about CPU/MoBo/RAM upgrade.

I was considering this as upgrade:

CPU: Intel Core i5 8600K or i7 8700K
MoBo: ASUS Z370 H ROG Strix
RAM: 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3000Mhz

Do you guys think it's wise to upgrade now or should I wait and enjoy what I have?

Like most of us, you are a computer enthusiast!! No need to stick with 4year old technology. How about waiting a month or so until the new Intel CPUs are released. You could pick up a new Intel 900 series CPU (https://www.tomshardware.com/news/next-generation-intel-z370-bios-motherboard,37455.html) , and a new Z390 series motherboard. Perhaps a nice new case to house it all in would also refresh the look of your computer. I suggest don't look if you "need" an upgrade - rather just buy some new stuff, because you love computers !!
Your system is good. Perhaps move to a 4K monitor rather than 1440p, for a more enjoyable day-to-day experience. You can always switch your games to 1920x1080 if they do not perform well at 4K. I have a GTX1060, and it plays all older games at 4K. As for your CPU and motherboard, I would wait for the new Z390 series chipset to come out (https://www.tomshardware.com/news/intel-chipset-z390-eight-core-processor,37046.html).

The main problem is that I'm from Brazil and heve everything is insane expensive. Every price you know in dollar you should multiply by 5 and you get approximately the prices here.

Bying a good 4K monitor is out of question for me, I'll already sweat to buy a 1440p one.
I consider getting the Acer Pretador 24" (TN - 1440p - 144hz - GSync).

About the CPU upgrade itself, it really not worth do so here in Brazil as I mentioned above. I just considered it because a friend of mine will travel to US and can bring the kit for me.

For you guys to have an ideia of the prices here In Brazil.

Intel Core i7 8700k = US$483,86 (R$1829,98)
ASUS Z370 H ROG Strix = US$297,94 (R$1119,90)
Corsair 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3000Mhz = US$345,14 (R$1297,45)
Acer Predator 24" 144hz 1440p = U$678,19 (R$2550);

You're like me, not intent on maxing out just to be the best. If you are happy with your performance, then wait. Save up money, and read threads and websites to get an idea of what's coming up and what's out now, as well as prices. If you start to notice issues, or you upgrade that monitor, then it's time to actively invest in the CPU/RAM/mobo upgrade.
