[SOLVED] Worth Upgrading?

Hi everyone, I currently have an RTX 2080 ti and am wondering if I should ever upgrade to the new series sometime in the future. The newer ones are a lot faster and have higher speeds, but if I were to do that it would leave a $1200 2080 ti (which I talked to some of the customer support teams about and I unfortunately can't get a trade in for) sitting around. Are they really that much better and is the performance so good that I would want to upgrade? Or should I wait until RTX 4000, or see what AMD has to bring? I know it might be a waste upgrading, but I feel stupid having bought an expensive graphics card that can now be outperformed for something half the price

You should "upgrade", only when your current components no longer do what you need them to do, and when you have the money, and when better components are actually available.
