Would 512MB videocard help?

So my desktop has some intel HD(4400 i think?) built in. up to liek 2gb shared.

My dedicated card died on me and on too tight a budget atm for next 2 weeks or so.

I remembered i had a 512 videocard in an old desktop.
Would it help much to put it in or not?

I would just deal with the onboard for now.

It's all relative..
If you wanna save some system memory then using a dedicated gpu will do the job..
If you have enough system memory while sharing some with the igpu and
if you indeed have HD 4400 then you dont need a dedicated gpu especially an old one

Any idea what the exact model is? What are you planning on doing with that computer? Gaming? If not then no HD4400 works fine.
