[SOLVED] Would adding more ram fix the problem of the Igpu taking ram and task mnager on ly displaying 5 gb even when i have 10 gb ram

[PC Question]

My ram was first 8gb but the task manager was displaying 5gb but my bios is detecting all of the ramsticks and i thought adding another ram sticks would fix the problem and my ask manager would display more ram but i didn't work still dispaying 5gb ram My os is Linux Ubuntu 18.04

how do you have 10gb of ram?
2 x 4gb & 2 x 1gb?

i don't know linux very well but i be surprised if it took 5gb of ram for any purpose
