Would an i5 680 bottleneck a GTX1050 TI?

Hello,

Since my CPU is a first generation processor, I have doubts about buying a GTX 1050 TI.
Would you guys think that graphic card would bottleneck my system?
If it does, then what display card should I buy instead?

Usually playing Assassin's Creed, League of Legens and Metro games.

I think it should be fine. There are games that need 4 physical cores, but for the games you mentioned, it should be plenty enough. Also, you can buy a Xeon X3440 for $40. And that one has 4 cores. If you want, you can get faster ones too, like the X3450 or X3460, or even faster ones, though there is only a 5% increase in performance between each one.

your cpu is bottlenecking your system


its an old dual core



if you want a 1050 ti get an i7 860 or i5 760

As Physx_HW said, you can get cheap quad core Xeons that also work, I did that in my HTPC (Xeon X3440), then overclocked it and got much better peformance than the dual core + HT.
