Would getting a triple play package affect the internet?

If I get a triple play package which contains tv and internet and the set-up box will be connected via ethernet cable to the router. Will it affect latency when I play games? Or should I get a separate package?

Not in the least. I've had that sort of thing with cable (Cox) and fiber (Verizon FiOS), and it makes zero difference. Your internet performance is not affected by the TV signal.
