So I am thinking of selling my 295x2 to buy a 980 ti. Would that be downgrading or upgrading?

In terms of raw gpu performance the 295 is quite a bit more powerful, but it is a crossfire setup. Personally I would never spend the money for a 980 ti if I had a 295.

Not at all. I am just asking because I can sell mine for $650 and got a deal for one for the same price.

ur 295x2 is much more better than the 980ti... sell when the pascal comes only if ur playing at 4k... if not stick with it
