But you do have an actual Windows XP install CD right? (I mean not just a pre-configured image from an OEM, but the an actual Windows XP install CD.) Because a lot of pre-configured OEM recovery CDs don't work right on other hardware.

If you have the complete CD either legal or a copy (I don't want to know) you can install it. If it's an image from an OEM computer when you try to install it it will say that this CD works only for the computer you get it from.
