Hi guys, i was just wondering if i upgrade my current motherboard , cpu and ram would i see a difference in gaming performance.

My current rig

Core2Duo E4400 @2.0GHz
Mobo-Intel DG45 series (not exactly sure cause i lost the manual)
2 Gigs of DDR2 800Mgz ram
MSI R5770 Hawk
Cooler master 600Watt power supply
My monitor is Dell 20'' IN2020 max resolution is 1600x900.

Yeah i know that its ancient ....

Ok so i was hoping of getting these parts

Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 or 6
i5 2500k
4Gigs of DDR3 corsair 1600MHz.

So guys feel free to express yourselves ...

It would help due to the fact that then you could install a faster graphics card. Anything faster than the HD 5770 will experience bottleneck due to the slow dual core processor. The graphic card is the main improvement for gaming.

Having said that, you could probably move up to a HD 6850 or HD 7850 and get better frame rates at 1600x900 with your existing system in spite of a little bottleneck. I used to have a similar system: C2D E6750 2.66GHZ with a HD 5770 gaming at 1680x1050. When I upgraded to a HD 6850, I got a big improvement in frame rates in spite of the bottleneck.
