Would like a possible Gtx 1080 VR build, as expensive as it needs to be(up to $2500)

I'm looking to buy my last system for a long time and hope to get one that can handle VR far into the future. I understand I may need another GTX 1080 in SLI down the road for super demanding VR, but I want my other components to be as strong as possible now, so that hopefully I won't have to upgrade anything else for a while. I would also like to be able to overclock as much as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best parts to get? It's been a while since I built a pc, and I don't really know what the best configurations are. Links to parts would be great. My reigning principle is that I don't want to spend money on extravagance without performance, but I am willing to spend money where it will count.

Also, just looking for the tower, no monitors or peripherals.
