Would multiple people using the same carrier in the same room cause any connectivity issues?

Does the presence of other people who use the SIM card of the same network carrier company in the same room/space diminish the network connectivity and/or reduce internet speed for any one person or the whole lot?
Any explanation for this query would be much appreciated.
