Would these components work together?

I just want to ask whether these components I have chosen for a gaming pc build are applicable with each other and will also perform well in gaming

Power Supply- Corsair VS550
Motherboard- MSI 970 AMD AM3
RAM- HyperX Fury 16gb
Hard drive- 1tb SATA III WESTERN DIGITAL
GPU- Zotac GeForce GTX 750 2gb
CPU-AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 core

Hey PoshHobo. Yes, all of your components appear to be compatible. With that being said, I do see one factor that you may want to look consider.

- Rather than purchasing a GTX 750, I'd recommend investing in a GTX 950. The 950 will last you fairly longer. It will also perform significantly better; whether you're gaming, editing, or watching videos. Additionally, the optimization and support for the card will be noticeably better as time progresses and support for the GTX 750 diminishes. The 950 is around the same price as the 750 and can be found in the link below (1).

I glanced over the MSI website to ensure that all of your parts are supported by the motherboard. Everything seems to be compatible. You can find this website in the link below (2).

Your PSU wattage should definitely be sufficient. I quickly checked the following website (3) to confirm that your PSU can run each of your particular components.
