I have never build a pc before, would this be a good build? i have a budget of around 900 to 1000.

Here's some general tips:
-DO NOT SAVE MONEY ON THE PSU, i would honestly gather some more money and buy a 100$ power supply unit
-Consider upgrading your ram to 16-gigs as this is becoming the now-a-days standard for gaming.Plus you have that AMD processor which loves extra RAM
-For the 1060 6gb i would get a 2-fan version but that's my personal opinion.
-That juicy SSD is very nice glad you put it there 😀

Hm, do you plan on over-clocking more than .2 ghz?

Don't get me wrong mother board isn't ideal but it will do you just fine.
