Would this be a good monitor arm?

Solution
Correct, that one would work. It doesn't allow total independent like the others you've posted, and it's basically a much more expensive model than the one I posted earlier. $60CAD vs $100CAD. The one you just linked will work though.

are there any you can recommend that have more mobility

From what I remember when I bought my mount, the ones with arms like that are limited to very light weight monitors. The ones like I linked are more suited to heavier monitors. You can probably hold <24" monitors with that, but 5KG is pretty light.

That's closer. Again, according to the newegg link that monitor is 16+lbs with the stand. That mount says it can handle up to 15lbs per monitor. Even if you take the stand off, you'll probably be 1lb over what the mount says it can handle. What will happen over time is the arm will sag, eventually failing completely.

so are you saying that the stand is less than 1 lb

Our STAND-V002V mount isn't quite strong enough to support 16lbs, but I also noticed that the monitor's specs only show the weight with the original base installed. If you have a scale available, you can check to see what the monitor weighs without the stand. If it's 15lbs or under, STAND-V002V will support it no problem!

? No. The link says it supports up to 15lb monitors, and your monitor's newegg page says it's 16.XXlbs with the stand. I'm assuming the monitor weighs 16lbs, and the stand weighs the .XXlbs. The VIVO reps advice is a good idea, weigh the monitor without the stand and if it's 15lbs or less then you are ok to use that mount. Personally even if it did weigh 15lbs I wouldn't cut it that close. You really should find a mount that supports up to 20lbs per arm. Do you really need both to move that much?

What if you left one on your desk, and mounted another? Perhaps one of these would work..

This one says up to 17 lbs per arm

It is just that I want to be able to fold the screens inward a bit and not completely strait across
