Question Would transferring a wifi card from an old laptop to a new laptop overcome missing driver issues ?

So about a few months ago my old laptop started overheating super quickly to the point where it couldn't stay on for a that long before shutting down. So I decided to buy a new laptop and put my hard drive into the new laptop but in doing so the old hard drive has absolutely none of the drivers for the new laptop including the drivers for the usb ports, the ethernet port, or the wifi card.

So my question is, would it work if I took the wifi card from my old laptop and put it into my new laptop would that work in getting past the driver issue?

Because if not the only other solution I have is putting what *I think* is the right driver downloads onto a flash drive, putting the old hard drive back into the old laptop, hoping the laptop stays on long enough for me to transfer the driver files onto the old hard drive, and then putting it *back* into the new laptop to then install said drivers.

Clean Win install. No other way around.

Won't work. Also, if you do clean Win install, this wouldn't be needed.

Did the new laptop come with its own drive and preinstalled OS?

What happened to that drive?
The new laptop came installed with its own drive and preinstalled OS but all of my files and data is on the old drive which is why I am trying to find out how to get the drivers installed on it so I can use it.

It is MUCH more than just the drivers.

Put the original drive back into the laptop.
It runs no problem, right?

Obtain a USB dock or cable to connect the old OS drive with.
Connect it, and retrieve your personal files from the old laptop drive.
No drivers, no applications....just your personal files and things you may have downloaded.

You can not use old OS, from different system in a new system. It just won't work like that, no matter how much you want it to work without issues.
(Unless you're an Ork from Warhammer 40K, whereby you have a psychic ability, when you believe something is true, then it will actually become so.)

Like USAFRet above said, put the original OS drive back and use it.
And to get your old data over, get external dock or adapter, so you can hook your old drive to laptop as data drive, whereby you can copy/paste your personal data over.
