Would you buy a Phenom or an i7 ?

Last i heard Intel is going to start selling CPU's with an unlocked multi, I guess to compete with AMD's BE x2's. But for now it will only be possible with a few dualies, hopefully in the future we will be able to purchase unlocked i7's making it easier to overclock.

I would agree with the first part AMD = Bang for buck! Second part games will soon enough need a quad at minimal requirments and a six core soon enough.

I will buy it for sure... When I need it...

Lets see... retire that still doing a great job shitty Phenom9950 out..
Put in 6 cores...

By the time my 9950 can bottleneck a good single card I am sure more games will be more multithreaded... so nice and easy upgrade.

AMD = Easy upgrades + Money savers.
