WEI is not a good indicator of gaming performance.
Look for a WoW specific forum and see what types of laptop GPUs other users are using and what performance they get. They'll probably understand 'medium high settings' better than people around here.

i Just got this MSI fx700 for about $870 shipped.
i-5 480m
gt 425
led tft 1600/900
4gigs ddr3
500ghdd
802.11b/g/n
THX dynaudio surround 4/spkr
BD/drive
2xusb 3.0
2xusb 2.0
hdmi out
multi card reader.
chicklet keybord.

With afterburner software and nvidia tool i can run row on high ultraish settings and keep 60 plus fps
thats with cpu @ 2.9ghtz and gt 425 overclocked to 730 core/1460 shader/930 mem.Doesnt get ridiculously hot for the specs its running at and also on AC power only of course.i think cpu tops out around 50-55 C and Gpu around 70 after an hour or so running those clocks and gfx settings but it levels off.
And the four speaker system on this thing is awesome best sound from a notebook i have ever though possible with on board speakers.Just shy of seven pounds and pretty decent battery life with the optimus and balanced windows settings.Could sustain 60 fps on med/high settings or high with shadow low with out tweaking.Would probably see more gains with a higher cpu over clock though will have to mess around. But really with the screen and the sound this thing has im greatly satisfied with fps and playabilty for wow and other things this can handle. And it can run ultra just not a 60 but about 30-50 depending on area this intel can really be a beast of a cpu to get it done. What ever your choice definitely go with an intel i series chip dont settle for the amd on your laptop.I dont mind and actually like amd for desk tops but intel is the way to go for mobile.
Good luck and i hope you find the right one that meets your need and price point.
