Windows phone needs more apps and they'll replace Android as the most popular phone in about 5 years. I've always felt iPhone has had the best sound for years hands down, but Android came reasonably close last year with Beats audio and this year Beats audio has improved and finally beaten Apple audio with the HTC 8X. As a music business professional, this is the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

A roadblock so far for both has been Apple's domination of the accessories market.

Not a single smartphone is designed without compromises. Praising all the features while ignoring the drawbacks is something we can leave to fanboys.

I had to use a iphone 5 recently to show a co worker how to use his email and texting. After using the note 2 for a few months, I have these comments to Apple.

Menu and back buttons would be nice. Also get with the times, it was painful to use that small screen. And ppi doesn't mean sweet f all. Why don't you make up another term "retina display"..... How dumb do you think your followers are? Put the note 2 beside the iphone 5 and ask everyone which phone has the best display. The iphone 5 looks dull and lacks color and a decent contrast ratio. The blacks look gray compared to the Note2. You can make the note 2 look like the iphone 5 by setting the screen to "movie ". If a company wants to be inovative, they should come up with a screen that is equally visible in daylight as indoors. They all suck equally in that respect.

I think that Apple's next made up term should be "quantum vector matrix" ..... patent pending.

Just kidding Apple, you can use that term.

He is telling the truth and is not contradicting himself. Apple makes a good solid product but much like Blackberry, while the product is good and solid, it is also falling behind.

Blackberry also makes good quality phones that work. That does not mean, however, that I would buy a Blackberry.

this is a phone not a freaking computer....i have been and am able to do everything i need to do with my iPhone5....if there is something i need to do and can't do it with my phone i use my laptop of my desktop....people need to stop bitching

[citation][nom]wildkitten[/nom]What is the app support like for Windows Phone 8? I have had the Bionic from Motorola now for about a year but I am tired of the Android fragmentation and the carriers delaying upgrades to the OS and such and I really don't want to get an iPhone. Also, does Microsoft handle the OS upgrades like Apple does with the iPhone, or do they have to submit builds to the carrier like Android OEMs do?[/citation]

Tbh, on my iPad, I don't even have many apps, just a page and a half, not counting apple's. I haven't had any issues with trying to so something and not being able to do it. There are 3rd party apps for pandora, twitter, and instagram. Everything the I need is either built in or it can be downloaded. With wp8, ms will handle the updates.

You can do a WHOLE lot more crap Windows too... as long as you have a PhD and half your life to set it up and keep it running.

Agreed. Having all this stuff on any brand of phone is great, but outside of checking newegg for a price check, and taking a picture from time to time... I just use it for calls and texts.

I have had an iPod for 6 years now, so I have learned how to live with iTunes. It was not a gentle learning curve, but I managed am an now pretty proficient at managing my music. Now that I have an Android device, the new Google Music App will upload your entire iTunes collection to the cloud, in my case, about 4,000 songs, and let you stream all of your iTunes content on your phone (or tablet). So, if you are worried about losing your music moving from an iOS device to Android, never fear, there's an app for that.

What a complete and total biased twist of the facts. This is just bad journalism.

Woz knows whats up. Apple for the longest defrauding the public by selling yesteryear's technology to its loyal fanboys. That's why I'm upgrading to the S4

They are behind because Apple wants to analyze how it can protect their technology and take advantage of every opportunity, while android is much more of a open source type player...It is not surprising.

If Steve Wozniak has to stand in line with the rest of the Apple fans to get a new i Fruit device, then that should tell you what kind of company Apple is. Seriously he invented- built the Apple computer. If Apple has any kind of integrity at all they would just send him a brand new device every time something new came out. The company is worth tens of billions of dollars, they can afford it.
