Wow, what an ignorant comment. If you read his biography and read what others have to say about him, you will learn that he is one of the most compassionate, generous and ingenious people in tech. I am not just saying this, he has the track record to prove it.

I think he's just expecting too much. Someone else has to create the product before apple can claim, patent, and market it. That's the way it's always been. It just happens to be Microsoft this time instead of smaller company. Apple can run over or ignore

Microsoft isnt necessarily trying to take over the smartphone market in one fell swoop. They just need a palpable presence there for the purpose of integrative branding, which would then be more self-supporting for its software/hardware ecosystem.

I fear that Microsoft might have been sitting in their labs trying to innovate."

Comparatively, "Apple was just used to cranking out the newest iPhone and falling a little behind and that worries me greatly," he stated. "It worries me because I love Apple. It worries me if Apple were to lose ground because they were making the same things they know how to make. Improving is not Apple-style innovation."

He should have said that it "worries me because I have a lot of shares in Apple"

Sometimes when you're micro managing the healthy trees nearest to you, you may fail to see the overall health of the forest you're in. An outsider looking in from afar may view things rather differently. I would take Woz worry as somehing worth considering.

To all you Woz haters on here, go *(&#$ yourselves!

Woz is a great man, in my own opinion, a God of a man.

To all you morons saying that "Apple is dying without Steve (Jobs)" YOU ARE IDIOTS!

Steve Jobs is the one who put Apple into this mess! He's the one that turned Apple from a one-of-a-kind, think out of the box computer company that had 10% market share, into the "iPod company". He was a high caliber AS$HOLE that only cared about himself and money. Does no-one remember why he was FIRED from Apple back in the 80's? Are you people on here seriously that young? Do you all need a freaking history lesson???

Anyway, Apple needs to ditch the iPod banding, x86, and OS-X. Then Apple needs to go back to PPC, ARM, or POWER arc., then needs to re-develop it's own OS (not throw a GUI on top of a UNIX clone), and make itself innovative again to survive. Maybe purchase Haiku (former BeOS) and develop from there. Otherwise, the Apple of today (which is Steve Jobs), will not survive.

I remember back in 96-97, Apple just had it's first great quarter in a long while thanks to Amelio. Then Steve Jobs came in and ruined, EVERYTHING! No more newton, no more snow-white, no more Mac OS nor BeOS ( which alot of people were waiting for), and the horrible, dreaded move to x86 which started as soon as Steve took the helm, and him butchering the Apple logo. He didn't care about the users, he didn't care about the product, he only cared about himself and wanted to make products the HE wanted. Simple. As. That! He was a Bastard with a capital B!

[citation][nom]NightLight[/nom]he's basically confirming what everybody allready knew. And would you please stop talking about jobs like he was some kind of genius, this would happen eventually even if he was still there.[/citation]
Yeah, he was just a prick that people felt compelled to listen to. Kinda like the Chinese government.

If you don't mention that apple is bad somewhere in your post it will get voted down within a day.

Jesus I don't own anything apple, but blatant apple hate on here is rampant .

[citation][nom]digiex[/nom]The Apple is beginning to rot. It died with Jobs.[/citation]

Why people keep mentioning that?! Steve Jobs laid the groundwork for Apple's demise during his last couple of years.
