Hello, can I put my current cooler I got to my FM2+ Athlon x4 880k onto an AM4 Ryzen 5 1600x? I would like to buy the Ryzen now.
The cooler is basically the same as the Wraith but without the illumination (as far as I know)
Thanks in advance!

I have literally just swapped out a Phenom 2 with a Ryzen 1600 - less than an hour ago.
The Phenom had a H80 v2 and does NOT fit on the Ryzen 1600. Doing a quick google, I found that I have to buy a £4.99 bracket for the H80 to fit on AM4.
I guess you may have the same problem - although I have not researched your particular Cooler.

The bracket is maybe 8mm longer if that

If it supports AM4 then it would work but is it a original FM2+ CPU cooler? If so it won't work but on the plus side just grab the 1600 non X, it comes with a cooler, should be cheaper then the 1600X and you can get 1600X performance with minimal overclocking.

1600 non-x is bad idea unless you get a good aftermarket cooler, on standard one you wouldn't be able to get OC anywhere close to x anyway.
All AMD coolers, starting with AM2 have same mount as standard AM4. only the holes clamping base to MB differ.
Only thing is if it would be good enough and answer is, most probably not for 1600x to work up to it's maximum.

Any decent Wraith cooler or aftermarket version would easily get the performance of the 1600 to the 1600X.

The cooler is called the Near-silent 125w, if it helps. Can't find socket support specification.
I couldn't find anything either about it, only lists which cooler comes with each CPU.

You could try it but I think it would be more beneficial (& possibly cheaper) to just grab the 1600 that comes with a compatible cooler and just overclock it.
