Question Wrong date and time ?

Date/time can go off when CMOS battery is empty. This usually happens when you don't have internet connection, from where the OS can take the correct date/time.

But to enable automatic date/time correction from the net:
Navigate to the "Date and Time" settings, select the "Internet Time" tab, and choose "Change settings". Enable "Synchronize with an Internet time server" and select a server like time.windows.com. Click "Update now" to synchronize, then "OK" to save.

Btw, what's the reason for you to use obsolete OS?

Keep in mind to check to be sure you aren't deal with a virus or malware. One of the vectors they use is to change the date and time that would then cause issue with the built in A/V. IDK if defender even works on 7 any longer....

As far as optimizations there are tons of things you can do within 7. Taking out un-needed or duplicate programs, going into background apps and the startup menu to disable things you don't use or don't want running on start.

Kindly provide your PC hardware list and briefly explain why you are using Windows 7 today. Thanks. You can use this OS ONLY if it is configured correctly and completely Firewalled it has very basic functionality in today's computing world.. There are NO updates or security patches available. The CMOS battery keeps the core BIOS settings active including the correct time. Install a new battery.
