Okay, as I am a noob to literally everything about computer, I will go over the things i know.

I've downloaded the AMD Driver autodetect application, ran it and installed the latest driver. My laptop was equipped with a Radeon R5 M230, but when I look back at the device manager, It's now turned into a Radeon HD 8500M. How is that happening? Should I roll back my driver to the old one? The old driver is 13.201.1.0, while the one it recommends is 14.12.

Any replies are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Specs:
Windows 8.1
Intel Core i5-4210U
Radeon R5 M230 (Or is it?)
8GB RAM
500GB Hard Drive

Yeah, don't worry. You've done the right thing making sure your drivers are up to date. Only worry about it if you suddenly have a huge drop in gaming performance or something.

Like I said earlier, they are the same chip anyway, the r5 230m is simply higher clocked

Since it is only because of the rebranding, I shouldn't be worried about it. Am i correct?
