Hello everyone!
My desktop motherboard is Intel DB85FL. It has Intel series 8 chipset B85.
My problem is that, the chipset or 'PCH' temperature sensor is broken. It sometimes work and sometimes don't . When working the PCH tempature stays under 50C. when it stops the tempature goes to 127.5C in no time.
And when it does the computer shutsdown itself. And I can't start it after that. It will shutdown before the Intel logo. I have to leave it like 2-5 hour to start again. Then it will run for 20 minutes to couple of hours before the problem begin.
I know it is not a real heat issue because when the computer runs I can touch the chipset heatsink. It never felt too hot. And when I was monitoring the tempature in BIOS the temperature change spike was a vertical line.
I can't turn off the sensor. I tried to increase the hot and critical threshold, but I can only increase to 127C. So it doesn't work.
What can I do to system ignore the temperature.
