Hi.
I just installed BatteryBar Pro. The "remaining time" is not displaying accurately. When I start the laptop, it begins at a very low reading of less than an hour, and then it slowly improves and continues increasing for a long time, irrespective of the discharge rate.

If it is discharing at 3000mWh and the capacity is 30000mWh, it is still displaying 1:30 hours left...
If it is discharging at 20,000 mWh it is still displaying the same 1:30 hours left....

Here is a link to a screenshot of the problem: Battery Bar Pro Remaining Time issue

Did anyone face this issue? How can this be fixed?

The Windows battery indicator doesn't display anything wrong... it is working fine. But I chose to use BatteryBar to get faster refresh and keep a track on the discharge rate / battery wear level too...

Many thanks!

Did you contact the maker of the software?

I would think if this software does not work for you and the normal one from Windows works fine, I would use the one that works. You are basically just wasting time and worry on tracking the battery. Use it. It will get worse over time. When it fails, replace it. Don't know about you, but sitting starring at a battery meter counting how many more seconds it lasted a week before is not how I want to spend my time or even my thinking.

You'll know soon enough when the battery needs to be replaced without fancy status bars.

Thanks for your reply.
Actually, I would have been seeing the stats once every two/three weeks that's all. I think most people do that. 🙂
Not worrying or anything... I am too busy to "sit and stare" at the battery meter.
Personally, I feel it's a much easier and less time-wasting option than manually typing codes in PowerShell and generating a report.
But sadly was not working so yeah I contacted the developers and they said the time remaining is not dependent on the discharge rate, but it's a cumulative average of the overall battery performance. The more I use the laptop over time, the more accurate the time remaining I will get.
