Solution
to gain space on your ssd

delete hyberfil.sys file

Go to Start menu, type “cmd” open up command prompt
Type “powercfg.exe -h off” [make sure you are an Administrator]
ENTER
Type “exit”
ENTER

this still allows using sleep

if you have 4gb or more ram lower page file to 512mb

turn off system restore--recommended on a ssd

these will gain you a lot of gbs--saved me about 30gb becuase i have 16gb of ram the pagefile and hyberfil.sys are larger the more ram you have

run ccleaner to gain a bit more

I know that Windows 7 uses a large chunk of the SSD, and sometimes it'll have a bunch of temp files as well as hidden files on there that take up a large portion. Run disk cleanup on your C:// drive to see if there is anything that can be deleted to recover some space.

It's most likely, hidden system files, such as hiberfil.sys, pagefile.sys plus system restore points and shadow copies, and also some folders that are hidden will not display their size.

Case in point, mine is saying 71.6GB is used, but selecting all files(after turning off hide hidden files and protected system files) It only totaled 65 or 67GB.

Edit: After deleting all but the most recent System Restore point I just dropped that to 63GB, YMMV

Just had the same issues and did the same. Thanks for the help.
Removed Hibernate, don't need it anyway
Reduced System Restore to 3%, I backup files regularly to external drive,
Moved the pagefile from the SSD to the HDD,
Moved Indexing from SSD to HDD,
This brought my Windows 7 Home clean install down from 35GB to 7.5GB on the SSD. Yahoo!!!
Then I turned off a bunch of other junk like sounds and tablet etc. Now it is humming right.
