I have a WRT54G (running DD-WRT) with three of the 4 switch ports connected to rooms in my house. The fourth port is connected to a Linksys EZXS55W 5 port switch, which has two devices connected to it.

The EZXS55W shows link and activity on the two devices, but those devices (with hardcoded IP addys) are unable to access the internet and are unreachable from devices hanging from the WRT. These devices work fine when hanging from the WRT as well. I have used both a regular port and the uplink port on the EZXS55W.

Thoughts?

Well it has to be the settings on the switch is it a smart switch that you can log in to. Also if the devices can't acquire an IP using DHCP it means there not communicating correctly with the router regardless of what the lights tell you. Wish I know more about this switch. If you can't ping the router from the two computers on the switch then something is definitely wrong.

The switch has no interface; it has an uplink port and 4 "regular" ports. The devices hanging from the switch are digital audio players, not computers, so they don't have a ping facility. I'll try to get a laptop hooked up to one of those ports tonight.
