I used to buy a bunch of stuff from newegg and zipzoomfly but have switched over to www.nerdny.com . They have decent prices, but more important people answer the phone and if i ever have questions or issues they take care of it pronto...in ENGLISH!!!

I cant imagine they have a $2866 price for one drive. They do sell bundled solutions- like a promise chasis w/ hard drives....that could definitely be 2866...but if it is just one drive that has to be an error. Definitely not a junk site.

Couple things- first and most important, that 88 dollar price is for the 20 pack. People dont realize that companies like newegg and zzf buy the oem stuff in max packs and then break them down or sell the max packs with minimum purchase requirements. This is a big difference then what you get in a retail pack- if you want 20 drives though, compare the 20 drive prices then- not 20 pack from ZZF to single pack at nerdny. You got to compare apples to apples- retail pack for retail pack- in that case they are a couple dollars different... like 101 vs 102.
The other HUGE thing is service. You can get a TV at Walmart or Frys for less money, but you know the service is going to suck. Pay the extra couple bucks and have the service from a better retailer.

I had to laugh when I saw this post, because I have gotten many things from Newegg in the past. I thought they were a good company as well, with out a doubt they have good prices. 2 Months ago I bought an 80 gig EZ backup drive for my laptop (this is basically an external RAID HD) I have an 80 gig drive in my laptop so I thought this was the right one. Well I was wrong, as I needed the RAID drive to be bigger than the original drive. I called Newegg, they said I had to contact the manufacture, and that they could not help me. Of course I was pissed, as I just bought this thing, needless to say you really don't know a retailer until you have a problem. I will never shop at Newegg again. I don't know nerdny, but I will give them a try.

Well newegg has been perfect for me so far. Refunded me $85 dollars for my now dead BenQ 1625 cause they couldnt fix it nor replace it even though my warranty expired already and also are sending me a replacment for my DFI NF3 mobo which had a 1 year warranty with them but my warranty expired 2 months ago. They first asked me to contact DFI and since they acted like jerks, newegg decided to replace it for me. Thats customer service!
