X1.1 at x16 will it slow down my gpu?

Hi guys I want to know if my pcie slot that is verson 1.1, at x16 will it slowdown my gpu when playing games.. I'm pretty sure my pc is bottlenecking something but I just don't know what.

My set up is hp workstation xw6400, twin quad cores at 2.33ghz and a gtx 660

Depends on what video card you are running. But yes most likely, but than again you are basically using a i7 920 clocked at 2.3ghz. Unless you are playing some really old games, PCIE 1.1 isn't your biggest concern. 2k and 4k gaming is out of the question, but 1920x1080 might be doable (depending on the game).

For reference 16x PCIE 1.1 = 4X PCIE 3.0

Those CPUs are doing you no favors. First off only one of them is working in gaming. Secondly they are old and low clock speed.

Thats way more of a bottleneck than running your GPU at PCIe 1.1

The PCIe speed is fine it is your CPU speed causing you trouble. 2.33ghz from that old arch. is an issue in modern games. It is just to slow where as PCIe versions tend to have a very small affect on gaming not worth worrying about.
