lol Sorry, forgot to mention in terms of temperature. I want to keep it as cool as possible with the stock cooler and being on air.

Well, all gfx cards should run at stock speeds without requiring any extra cooling so you should be fine. Im running with a 14cm intake fan, 12cm exhaust, 2 side 12cm fans and a powercolour heatbuster. Befor changing the thermal paste to arctic silver 5, it used to reach over 70 C. Now it peaks at 68 C @ 700mhz with the fan at a lower speed too.

With my set up and the fan at ~60%, one would assume I could leave the case side on, correct?

I'd like to see a 700/1600 stable.

that fan setup looks fine, but you will need ATItool for the fan speeds as ATI doesnt seem to worry to much abt it.

Just get ATItool and all your probs will be solved, it worked for me 😀
