[SOLVED] x470 for ryzen gen 3

Hi guys im planning to upgrade my mobo with x470 for faster memory and i would like to know if ryzen gen 3 will compatible with x470 cause if i have more money i will upgrade it too..

ANd if x470 compatible with ryzen gen 3, wich one of mobo should i buy? i have around $200-250 for now

Would also speculate an x470 chipset motherboard would be compatible with the Ryzen 3000 series with a BIOS update.
Would also further speculate a new chipset will be released and the motherboards using it are more likely to be out of the box compatible.

If you want it to be compatible you need an x570 motherboard. Sure it will work on an x470 with a bios update BUT you will need an older CPU to update the bios. AMD offers bios upgrade kits at no cost but you will have to wait more time to get your PC up and running if you go that route. If you need it now don't hesitate to just go with a ZEN+ CPU. If you already have a first gen Ryzen CPU and just want to upgrade for better memory support that's ok. You'll be able to upgrade easily if that's the case.

I haven't confirmed for sure that it'll be compatible but it seems like it should be. If you buy an x470 board and then it doesn't work with Ryzen 3000 it's not my fault. Because I'm warning you now. It might not work.

Hi dude,, im using 16gig ram with 3200mhz speed, but my mobo just can support until 2999mhz. Im using 1300x and asrock x370 fatality gaming K4

nah, your mb can support 3200+ too. The qvl list is stale and not enough. I will upgrade bios to the 2nd newest and retry XMP or overclocking ram.

I have the latest bios from asrock, i was try it dude, if i get more then 3000 in middle of the game it will be freeze or hang,,

First question, does XMP include 3200+ profiles? If so, it means you can.
I will manually set DOCP settings then. You always need to test stability with Prime95 before claiming overclocking is good. what is the ram model number? Last resort is to mess with the timing if DOCP doesn't work.
