Hi,
So I recently decided to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 3600 and a new x470 pro gaming plus MAX motherboard along with Patriot Viper 4 Blackout Series DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3200MHz Kit.
The PC would not post until I removed one of the ram sticks, but would then constantly get BSOD error messages, usually to do with memory management.
However, I decided to test with an old 1 stick of 16gb 2400mhz and this runs fine, no BSOD errors.
So is it likely that the new RAM is just bad or not compatible, or is there a chance this is a motherboard issue?
I also seem to be experiencing freezing where I can't even open task manager but usually unfreezes after a minute or two, not sure what is going on.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
