[SOLVED] x570 RAM speed confusion

New build since my I7 2600k. Bought a amd 7 5800 and am looking for an X570 mobo. Real confused about mobo rated unbuffered rated RAM speeds, what RAM speeds to buy and does it make a difference. MSI states that they can take up to 4400 unbuffered while asus, gigabyte, etc say 3200 is max. I read the optimum speed for X57 mobos is 3733. Does MSI have a speed advantage? Or do i get the same result OCing a 3200 as using an unbuffered 3800. Have not read anyone hyping the MSI advantage. Anyone have a preference for a MOBO manufacturer?:

I bought a MSI x570 MPG Tomahawk since it was a highly rated board with the benefits of high RAM speed. Also bought Gskill neo Z cas 16 PC 3600 2 x 16 sticks. Other stuff includes AMD 7 5800x and Samsung 980 NvME SSD. Will steal 800 watt PSU, GTX 1080 ti, and a 1 TB samsung 860 evo from old build. Looking towards Lian Lu mesh case.

Well i don't really have much knowledge about the ram but it seems like nobody replied to you so any ram expert correct me if i am mistaken.
3600 is the sweet spot till now you should focus on the timing not just the speed like for example 3200cl14 will be better than 3600cl18 i myself recommend 3600 (cl16 or lower)
Each motherboard has a speed limit support for the ram so if you plan to buy a high speed ram like 4000mhz and higher you need to check if the mobo supports it
Choosing a mobo should be for it's specs (and the looks if you're one of the rgb fellows).
So look for a specific mobo and compare it with others to see which offers better features and price for" example" asus strix gaming f and msi gaming pro carbon.
I have msi mobo but i hear people saying that asus have the best power phases for b550 series i am not sure.

Newegg has a gskill ripjaws dual sided 14 cas 3600 2x16 ram set for $179. Will I see 3600 if the mobo says its max is 3200 (but will support up to 4400 OC) or should I get 3200?
 
For Zen 2, it's not advised to go above DDR4-3733 because of the way the Infinity Fabric (the CPU buse) is tied to memory speeds. If you use faster memory, Infinity Fabric has to slow down, which results in higher latency. And at the moment DDR4-3600 is the sweet spot because diminishing returns start kicking in hard.

Otherwise, memory speed compatibility depends on that particular motherboard. All the manufacturers have some board that can accept really high speeds, but they're also the more expensive ones.

ASUS rog crosshair has an unbuffered limit of 3200 with a gen 3 amd processor and the strix has a limit of 2666. All msi boards are limited at 4400. Does MSI have a huge speed advantage over ASUS? gigabyte says that their boards can go to 4400 if equipped xmp and overclocked. Am I wasting money by putting anything over a 3200 in the top of the line ASUS MOBO?

Chatted with ASUS and they basically hung up on me. Why would anyone not buy a MSI board that does not have to be over clocked to reach the optimum RAM speed of 3733? Is a similarly priced ASUS board significantly slower than a MSI board due to the RAM speed. I read that AMD MOBOS are much more effected by RAM speed than Intel Mobos. Or am I over obsessing over Ram speed?
