VLO is down today, but still up on the year. GOOG always seemed too pricy for me, and I sold off MSFT years ago when it was still >$100. No, it's called:

a) being a Ph.D. student, meaning I get a stipend (I get paid) as opposed to having to pay tuition

b) still having another job
